CommonFolkNews™, is an independent online publication that was founded on the principle that all Americans want the same things in life. The ability to purchase and maintain a home, have dependable transportation, earn a decent wage, to have good, safe and affordable schooling for our children, and to be able to afford quality health care and maintenance. Last but not least, we want the ability to be able to save a penny or two for those difficult times that lie ahead.
The online version of CommonFolkNews™ was originally founded in Memphis TN in 1998 and allowed then and now, experienced journalist and freelanced writers to report and have their content published. Opinions from the public are not only welcomed but are highly encouraged.
CommonFolk are of like minds more so than anything else. We treat our brothers and sisters, as we would want to be treated. We seek out other CommonFolk and enjoy the company and conversation of one another.
Our target audience is the working to middle class American worker. They want to see a change in the status quo and have embraced CommonFolkNews™ since it’s debut in 1998.
We expect many things from the working class and expect to give even more in return. So our content targets this audience, however we hope all visitors and readers will find our content useful, helpful and unique.
Our distribution then, was small in comparison to other media outlets, yet our content reached thousands within the city of Memphis and it’s surrounding metropolitan area. Our distribution strategy, using downtown Memphis as our distribution headquarters, proved quite successful. We adopt this same type of strategy in distributing our online content as well, believing that the Memphis content applies to many other city throughout the United States.
Embarking upon this online journey and using Memphis TN as our base, we intend to broaden our reach to other major markets across the country by reporting and editorializing on the issues that all Americans can relate to and hopefully support.
Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to continuing our mission in providing you with content from CommonFolk that has a “Unique Perspective”.

Same-Sex Marriage Good, Bad or Otherwise by Audge Jo
June 2008 (CFN-Memphis TN) - Recently in May 2008, same-sex marriage became legal in the state of California. The state of California usually sets the “tone” for the rest of the nation, so a “domino effect” of other states to join in and show favor and acceptance to the gay and lesbian community would not be a surprise.
Although considered “wrong” and “immoral” by most religions, activists still continue to fight for the right. How will this affect our society and this free country that we live in? Is it possible to find a “happy medium” where we still honor those who seek out equal rights, but stay conservative enough to protect our traditional family values that are essential to our society? So, this raises the fundamental question: Are same sex marriages good, bad, or otherwise, and should it cause for concern for what’s next to come?
Although, the term “homosexual” was not actually defined or commonly used at one time, the practice of same-sex eroticism has been around as early as the 5th Dynasty of Egypt’s Pharaohs 2400 B.C.. By the 1930's a subculture of gay and lesbians was evolving in American cities and beginning to find a sense of identification within society, however unwelcome.
According to the Judeo-Christian religion, homosexual behavior and groups was highly unfavorable. “A society hostile to homosexual expression shaped the contours of gay identity and the gay sub-culture. In the Judeo-Christian tradition, homosexual behavior was excoriated as a heinous sin, the law branded it as a serious crime.”
Today, homosexuality, and especially same-sex marriage is considered to be highly immoral. In the book of Leviticus, God warns that men who lay with men are an abomination. “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it [is] an abomination…..For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit [them] shall be cut off from among their people.” (Leviticus 18:22, 29) In addition to the biblical reference to homosexuality being a sin, the bible also tells the story of Sodom and Gomorrah. A city that was destroyed because of immoral sexual sin. Naturally, for many conservative Christians, this is God’s word and law in which they are to abide. Although, many would argue that certain passages in the bible are not direct references to homosexuality, but rather it concerns certain sexual acts. There are many interpretations, and unfortunately this leads to unclear understandings. As a result, many gays and lesbians face condemnation by churches and punishments by the law. Due to the concept that we are all "members of the flock", many modern day "gay friendly" churches and ministries have erupted. Yet, this has created extreme controversy by allowing this element into the Christian church.
John McNeil, author, moral theologian and a Jesuit priest, (see The Church and the Homosexual. Pocketbooks New York, 1978) believes that some sort of intervention through counseling can be a good aid. McNeil says, “Practically all authorities agree that the first goal of counseling should be to guide the person with a homosexual problem to a heterosexual adjustment whenever possible.” Same sex marriages creates conflict within America’s Judeo-Christian heritage. Despite past indifferences between society and the gay community, the gay and lesbian movement has steadily increased in power over the last two decades.
Openly gay and lesbian politicians have demonstrated, against pessimists, that “homosexuality is not an insuperable barrier in gaining the confidence of the people. In many instances, the majority of voters are willing to understand the concerns of gay people and understand the relationship of those concerns to their own interest.”
In 1984, Jesse Jackson, the Democratic Presidential nominee embraced lesbians and gay men started what we know today as the “Rainbow Coalition.” The coalition was to bring a call to civil rights of the gay and lesbian community. Today, gay rights activists and interest groups such as Freedom to Marry have been, and still are, working diligently to improve the civil rights of gays and lesbians and believe that it is unconstitutional to not give all people regarding their sexual orientation that right.
California was the second state to approve same sex marriages. The first being Massachusetts in 2004. These were huge successes in the gay and lesbian community. Gay and lesbians find it very contradicting when they are accused of having unstable, short-lived relationships, but then are prohibited from getting married. This is again, unconstitutional to gay rights activists.
The effect of the Full Faith and Credit Clause in combination with even one state, let alone two states approval of same sex marriages, would eventually and inevitably make same sex marriages more common around the country. Whether or not a particular state is in favor of gay marriage or not.
California's Supreme Court deemed “giving gays a separate institution—domestic partnership—marked gays and lesbians as second class citizens." (see Maura Dolan. “California Supreme Court overturns Gay Marriage Ban.” Los Angeles Times. Friday, May 16th 2008).
In conclusion, it is true that denying homosexuals the right to marriage is a form of minority discrimination. However, allowing same sex marriages will weaken the definition and respect for the institution of marriage, and will also weaken traditional family values. Most importantly it has already created an avenue of change in what constitutes a marriage.
We now live in a society where “anything goes” and in my opinion, the first thing going is the morality and traditions of this world and of this nation.
Same sex marriage is not good, bad or otherwise; it’s just “wrong” and has begun to slowly deteriorate traditional American family traditions.

Voter Fraud An Editorial by CFN Staff
CFN- September 2012 An Editorial
Why there has been no resolution in blatant voter fraud perpetrated by both elected politicians and American citizens all conspiring to undermine the electoral system in this country.
Is it because of the damage it would cause to America's fabric as well as its stability.
Counting votes in America is a very sophisticted computer involved process. Are all of those involved in the vote collection process educated and and trained in basic computer technology and its operations.
Lastly but not least, questions remain as to how do we began to reform such a system that has proven to be controlled by not American voters but a hand few of American computer programmers that has access to the computer code installed on voting machines.
Has America merged complex computer prgramming capabilities with its under educated American public.
Is America interested in making this ballot casting system fair.
Or is America only interested in preserving capitalism the way we all are accustomed to seeing it work; regardless of the consequences of uncovering information that may rock the foundations of that capitalism.
There is no room for "FAIR" in capitalism. There is no room for the government paying the way for all of its citizens in capitalism. Capitalism is simply not meant to be a system that was designed to be "FAIR" to all of its members.
Capitalism is a system of competition. Predators and victims. Strong and the eak; capitalism is the ultimate financial survival course for humans found anywhere on earth.
Second to none. This is what has made Amerika so great.
Meaning, anything that will drastically change the current scene of capitalism is unwanted.
As I believe it is with voter fraud in this country. It is similiar to the "too big to fail" cliche.
In other words, we are stuck with it because its an integral part of our capitalistic society; and to investigate and uncover the truth would only lead to utter chaos, rebellion and revolution.
To change such a fraudulent and fixed system would drastically change lives as we know it to exist today.
We are not a people short on good ideas, we are just a people with ideas. Because in a capitalistic society many good ideas are never heard of.

DEMOCRACY ...its determined by the beholder by CFN STAFF
The type of democracy that seems to be shaping in parts of North Africa and the Middle East may be unique and quite different in some ways from what we know democracy to be here in the United States.

With major world tensions surrounding a particular area around north Africa, the east and west Mediterranian Sea and the Red Sea are particular areas of concern.
These areas appear to be major strategic strong holds to any invading country posessing control to these waters.
Access to all of Africa could come by way of the Atlantic and the Mediterranean Sea.
Therefore, we have concluded that the violence and military actions in this region is over control of Africa through North Africa.•
Deciding to Curb Eating is NOT a Disease
An Editorial by James Yates Jr.
Not getting up and off of your butt to exercise is not a disease. It is purely a result of a lack of discipline. (speaking of those abled bodied citizens)
Many Americans might believe that obesity is generally connected to some type of disorder. I beg to differ. Obesity in normal Americans results from a lack of discipline to eat not nutritious foods, but in lack of discipline which leads to disorder types.
A lack of discipline is surely the problem.
Websters defines discipline as: activity, exercise, or a regimen that develops or improves a skill.
New York City Discrimination The Big Apple is getting a bit sweeter by James Yates Jr.
(CFN-August 2010) - The importance of whistle blower protections in the workplace is about as important as receiving a paycheck at the end of the pay period. Its essential.
And who is it that would conceived such a thing as to associate Nathan Bedford Forrest with that of a hero.
The statue of this figure as it stands in the downtown area of Memphis is a sad reminder of how Blacks were treated before, during and after the Civil war.
Why are we giving the letter grade "F" to our children attending school prior to graduation.
Is it because they are failures, which is what "F" represents on a child's report card. Or is it because we are attempting to build their little egos up.
Maybe "F's" are used to tearour kids down until they get to the point of making "A's" to build themselves up.
Then again, maybe "F's" are used to familiarize children with the letter to the word that they will learn has dictated their lives and describes an act that they can apply as happening to themselves.
If confidence, determination, and success all have to do with achievement, then there is no room for negative images, discouragement or failure.
We must make the necessary changes in our antiquated educational system to give our children the best chance possible. Remove the grades of "F, and D". They do nothing to help build the confidence of our children.
And for those that may disagree with this position, ask your self. Will removing the letter grade "F" from my son's educaion help or hurt him. Will removal of the letter grade "F" help to build their confidence. Can the letter grade "F" be replaced ith another symbol that removes years of discrimination and segregation that parents and students alike associate with the letter grade "F".
Our educational system can be so much better if we take the time out to encourage our children, build them up instead of tearing them down. We must nullify the negative symbolisms and teachings that our children are learning in the home and replace them with something much more viable and valuable in their lives. Confidence.
We are not instilling confidence in our children as we know how. We are not building them up as theh can be encouraged to do their best, learn their best and act their best.
WE CAN DO A BETTER JOB!

The Many Shades of Black
CFN - November 2011
It sickens me to find that in America, dark skinned Black women have taken a back seat to lighter colored Black women.
Dark skinned Black women definition: Those dark skinned sistas that are rich in color and define the true color of Black women.
Maybe I am wrong, so let's test it. Name me 3 dark richly colored Black woman on television?
Now name me 3 lightly colored Black women on Television or on the big screen/movies?
Mypoint proven!
At every turn, lightly colored Black women are the most chosen ones for any type of production that will be viewed by Americans within the media, movies etc.
Not trying to start anything that has not already been started, but the unfairness at the conscious as well as the subconscious choices Americans (White and Black) has made to exclude darker skinned Black women is a disgrace to Black women. And no one is jumping up and down about it. Not even Black women! And whatever happened to the saying, "The Blacker the berry the sweeter the juice?"
If Black is truly beautiful, then the full spectrum of our beautiful Black women should be showcased to the world. Not just those lightly skin colored Black women!

Hiroshima August 6, 1945 by Eddie Joseph
That fateful summer, 8:15. The roar of a B-29 breaks the morning calm. A parachute opens in the blue sky. Then suddenly, a flash, an enormous blast − silence − hell on Earth.
The eyes of young girls watching the parachute were melted. Their faces became giant charred blisters. The skin of people seeking help dangled from their fingernails. Their hair stood on end. Their clothes were ripped to shreds. People trapped in houses toppled by the blast were burned alive. Others died when their eyeballs and internal organs burst from their bodies−Hiroshima was a hell where those who somehow survived envied the dead.
Within the year, 140,000 had died. Many who escaped death initially are still suffering from leukemia, thyroid cancer, and a vast array of other afflictions.
But there was more. Sneered at for their keloid scars, discriminated against in employment and marriage, unable to find understanding for profound emotional wounds, survivors suffered and struggled day after day, questioning the meaning of life.
And yet, the message born of that agony is a beam of light now shining the way for the human family. To ensure that “no one else ever suffers as we did,” the hibakusha have continuously spoken of experiences they would rather forget, and we must never forget their accomplishments in preventing a third use of nuclear weapons.
Despite their best efforts, vast arsenals of nuclear weapons remain in high states of readiness−deployed or easily available. Proliferation is gaining momentum, and the human family still faces the peril of extinction. This is because a handful of old-fashioned leaders, clinging to an early 20th century worldview in thrall to the rule of brute strength, are rejecting global democracy, turning their backs on the reality of the atomic bombings and the message of the hibakusha.
However, here in the 21st century the time has come when these problems can actually be solved through the power of the people. Former colonies have become independent. Democratic governments have taken root. Learning the lessons of history, people have created international rules prohibiting attacks on non-combatants and the use of inhumane weapons. They have worked hard to make the United Nations an instrument for the resolution of international disputes. And now city governments, entities that have always walked with and shared in the tragedy and pain of their citizens, are rising up. In the light of human wisdom, they are leveraging the voices of their citizens to lift international politics.
Because “Cities suffer most from war,” Mayors for Peace, with 1,698 city members around the world, is actively campaigning to eliminate all nuclear weapons by 2020.
Those that are elected to handle
the peoples business should be held to the highest standard of upholding the
public’s trust.
The sympathy that goes out from
my heart are not with those that consciously bow to the evil of corruption.
We must seek out those
individuals that will not falter in the eyes of power and greed. We must seek
out those that are willing to serve because they have a desire to be committed
to the people that they serve.
Clearly Memphians have not taken
the correct steps in ensuring that the wrong types of individuals are not
elected to public office. (See The
Tennessee Waltz FBI Investigation and the Shelby County Clerks Sting)
Elected politicians that fall short
on integrity and honesty should be punished to the full extent of the law.
Unless we began to root out the
culture of those politicians that use political office for self-gain we will
continue to elect those that are going to betray, cheat the public and
eventually be brought up on charges.
Having come from one of Memphis’ oldest
communities she has brought shame to the City of Memphis, The Memphis City
Council, the Douglass Alumni, the Douglass community, family and friends. She
should be punished.
Shame on you Barbara! You have
represented the Church, church going men and women in this city for years and to
have your political career come to an end on a felony indictment is nothing
short of being a major disappointment.
Now I wonder how my fellow Douglass
alumni members will deal with her maintaining a seat on the Douglass Alumni
Association’s Board of Directors as its Business Manager is still up in the air
as well as whether or not she will continue to serve in that capacity.
In a recent response taken from
DAA President John Bernard after Ware was initially indicted on state felony
charges of official misconduct, asking how the DAA would proceed, Bernard
simply said, “This issue is up for discussion.” She was elected by "the body."
This issue will undoubtedly come
up in DAA’s alumni meetings after Ware’s criminal case has been concluded, and
hopefully our alumni will proceed with caution because its decisions will set
new precedent.
In the meantime one of Douglass’
very own will face the music of a district attorney’s office headed by Bill
Gibbons who just weeks ago was asked to resign by signage being displayed on
Union Avenue leading into the heart of downtown Memphis.
CFN will bring you more to this
developing story and the implications it will have on the Douglass Alumni
Association.
While it is rumored that National
Douglass Alumni Corporation (separate from the DAA) President Richard Kirk
Bowden is in town this weekend to meet with indicted councilwoman Ware, he is
sure to receive marching orders yet unknown to Douglass alumni members.
Bowden came to town under the
cover of meeting with DAA and it’s members to try and resolve issues published in CFN over its loss of control of the DAA organization.
Many have speculated that the
NDAC is on the verge of dissolving its 501(c) 3 and reuniting its forces with
the DAA. A move that is not welcomed by many alumni members because of how the
NDAC has handled its organizational business to this day. (See A Tale of Two
Alumni Organizations)
The NDAC has refused to discuss
any of the issues with CFN after numerous telephone and email attempts.
We will bring you more as
developments continue.**

"As for the press, the authors regarded a free press as almost a fourth branch of government, constantly keeping tabs on the government's activities and actions. Though today's tabloid papers and television might give one pause, this kind of trash is a small price to pay to ensure that any news organization can rest assured that it can report freely on the activities of the government. Many other organizations in other nations have to worry about toeing the state's line or be shut down. How objective do you think a reporter can be when his life could be ended because of a critical story?"
As almost a fourth branch of government? Wow! Who can legislate to Congress? To the President? To the Judiciary? The Press?
We support the Wikileaks organization until such time it is determined that they have broken the law. CFN cannot support law breakers.
Until such time, they should be allowed to continue to release the U.S. embassy cables as they have continued to do so.
Embarrassed? Get over it. We need truth in government and more sites like Wikileaks.
"Anyone who knows me personally knows that my origins are as rough
and as ordinary as those shown in any other HBO special on black boys
trying to figure out what it means to be a black male in America."
I have always thought it to be strange how we rush to cry over a deceased loved one’s death. As if we never had the chance to say to that person what we felt in our hearts. As if we did everything within our means to make a difference in their lives.
The truth of the matter is, this is about the biggest display of hypocritical behavior America has to offer. Sobbing over one’s death as if they will be missed yet not having a damned thing productive, supportive or encouraging to say or do for them when they were alive.
I wonder, how many people encouraged Whitney Houston to seek rehabilitation. I wonder how many of her family and friends stood by as she wasted her life away with drugs whether legal and illegal.
They say friends don’t let friends drive drunk. Friends also do not allow a friend to waste their life away on drugs without trying to be their biggest supporter and encourager to seek other forms of feeling good and happiness.
So why is Whitney dead, because she had so many loving friends. Many of which only chose to come out in her spotlight of death for their own self gratification.**
Men Being Men by James Yates Jr.

Somewhere down the line men seem to have gotten the impression that in order to make a woman happy one must give in to request that would question whether or not a man was really a man.
The very nature of women will have any man laughed at by his peers.
Since when did women become the gatekeepers of man. And we must remember, giving in to a woman's desires does not mean we must sacrifice our ability and responsibility to be men.**

Desensitizing the Faithful An Editorial
by James Yates Jr.
CFN-May 11, 2012 – Simply put, everything we have ever been taught has told us that homosexuality is wrong and the one time in history that this country has a Black President we are asked to compromise, or even worse, just look the other way.
President Obama most recent position that he approves of Gays and Lesbians being able to get married is surely to shape his Presidency in a way like no other.
Whether or not you support President Obama, no one person is so important or worthy enough to ask that I relinquish my current religious beliefs in support of THEIR political agenda. This would be ludicrous. Yet this is the situation so many Americans face as they battle with how to swallow this position of their most famed President.
My question to President Obama is, “What exactly am I supporting when I pull that lever for you in this coming Presidential election?”
I.) Am I being asked to support the legal adoption of children by and marriage of Gays?
II.) Are you Mr. President asking that I approve of the sexual behavior and practices Gays are known to enjoy?
Just what are the American people that support President Obama being asked to do. To set aside their religious, cultural life long beliefs for his political advancement? Or is it possible to continue to support Obama knowing the lifestyle changes that are to come if his personal beliefs on Gays influences many other areas of the Federal, State and Local governments.
Would President Obama himself be willing to give up such for the benefit of the American people? Probably not because leaders are very seldom asked to be subjected to the same laws, rules and procedures that their followers are expected to adhere to.
However, the real issue is that of a religious one. Everyone knows that the Bible is the authority on what's considered appropriate sexual behavior. And everyone knows that the acts that go on between homosexuals are those acts that for ages have been considered abominations in the eyes of God. Clearly an attempt to desensitize religious Americans to feel that the acts of homosexuals are being accepted on behalf of the Federal government; and President Obama does represent the United States Federal government.
But what does all of it mean? It clearly means that the President is more than comfortable in offering his feelings to the American public in the hopes of gaining votes, but at the same time socially alienating those voters that supported him on a perception of him having traditional religious and social values.
But this can’t possibly mean that we’re ready to throw Obama out with the dirty bath water in which he chooses to bathe.
It simply means that Obama is very confident that Americans that supported him then and now would never choose to go back to the way things were. With the Republicans in control.
Obama’s confidence that the American people have seen the ugly side of Republicans before, and during his Presidency and would never choose to have the Republicans govern in this country.
The Republicans would really need to pull one out of their asses to unseat Obama this election. Regardless of what he approves of or supports.
But this isn’t fair to the Republicans either, because the Democrats are just as much to blame for anything in this country they choose to debate.
Bottom line, the pendulum swings far east (left), then far west (right) with both Democratic and Republican Presidents.
It is the stresses that should have us concerned. For too much stress in either direction can cause a tear in the fabric of America. This election cycle I think we are going to see America’s fabric rip. Again.*
Republican Party...
NOT an Option for America
CFN - May 2012 While the country has seen first hand the suffering of American families at the hands of greed, faulty policies and a lack of laws to protect the American consumer, both Republicans and Democrats say that they have the man for the job.
While the Democrats are just as responsible for the mayhem caused in America after the 2008 stock market crash, its the Republicans that say they can do a better job. NOT.
The current Republican Party is NOT an option for America given what they have shown Americans they are willing to do unleash unless they get their way.
Any party that is willing to destroy the fabric of this country, knowingly withhold jobs and hiring, hoard the profits and riches of this country for themselves can't be for America. Unless America stands for everything that is against the growth of its people. And at times this is what America seems to be. Against its greatest asset its people.
In the past I have been critical of both Republican and Democrats. And still am. However, I think its important to understand that to choose the Republicans in this upcoming Presidential election is a vote in the backwards direction for America.
This is not an endorsement for the Democrats, oh no! Certainly not. I'm just NOT for the Republicans.**
Where Was Obama? During the Stolen Election of 2004 and during the made up charges of going to war in Iraq
CFN Editorial Staff- February 2012
Where was then Senator Barack Obama from Illinois when we saw former President Bush steal the 2004 Presidential election.
Where was Obama when the biggest outcry in American history over a Presidential election made by American citizens and the United States Congress sounded out about how then President Bush stole the election.
And not one damned thing was ever done about it to my knowledge. Or maybe this writer missed something in the mix.
My recollection tells me that there were to be all sorts of inquiries and investigations into voter tampering, voter fraud and the sort.
But no reports of anyone going to jail. Just how important is the American vote and who is charged with protecting it. Who do we look to prosecute those that are accused of wrongdoing. Voter fraud, tampering and manipulation seems to be standard operating procedure for elections in America.
Where was Barack Obama when all of America was in an uproar over how the election was carried out, stolen, and handled in its aftermath. Yet, I have not seen any video clips of any statements made by Obama during this massive American out cry.
Whether Obama supporters entertain these questions or not, the pure and simple of it is America needs a president that is involved in its issues that affect the daily lives of its citizens. Not one that is silent or missing in action when the fireworks are going off.
And we need to get away form the idea of fearing to discuss or speak of truths because it may make us look like we are for one side or the other. Right is right and wrong is wrong regardless of who the predator or victim, Democrat or Republican.
And right before our eyes, America again seems to be contemplating war against Iran. Just as Americans screamed out for answers and the truth prior to the invasion and occupation of Iraq, we find ourselves again in the same situation with Iran and its nuclear program. Screaming for proof that this Nation is a threat to America and that its nuclear program is one of hostility. Certainly not an endorsement of the Iranians, but even more so an attempt to get the truth out of Americans.
And leading the charge is the 1st Black President of the United States. As if he (the President of the United States) was nowhere around when America was begging for the truth about Iraq.
They say you are bound to repeat the future if you don’t know it, well too bad Obama missed the first round, because we sure in hell seem bent on making the same things happen in Iran.
The truth will either set you free or get you locked up. So is it a mystery as to why we can not seem to get the truth out of American politics.**
"Gettin Yo Ass Chewed Out"
by a White Woman by James Yates Jr.
The above photo was broadcast and has been shown around the world within minutes of this heated exchange between United States President and the Governor of Arizona.
Many Americans remember Arizona as one of the last states to recognize the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s National holiday.
But how could the most powerful man in the free world give an appearance to the world as being "put in check" by anyone. especially a Republican Governor for all the world to see. Should such things occur behind closed doors.
And who is this woman anyway to be aggressively finger pointing and attacking the first Black President of the United States. She's got balls the size of cantaloupes!
Obama and his staff should have never allowed this to happen for the world to see.
Kinda seems like Obama is bending over backwards to please those republicans that this Governor represents. She should have been put in check and hauled off for threatening the President of the United States!
No way in hell can I ever respect a Democratic President who allows a renegade republican subordinate to openly disrespect the most powerful office in the world for all to see. And to simply write it off as meaning no disrespect isn't good enough!
My statement to Obama, "You'd best check yourself before you wreck yourself."
My only question is, "Who's getting fired!" It damned sure needs to be someone in the Obama administration!
And because this incident has infuriated this publication's staff so, we are committed to getting out the vote to defeat Republicans if it takes us having another got damned civil war!
Clean your act up Obama, never allow this to happen again. Someone in your administration must have the foresight to prevent such incidents.*

CFN December 2011— Who's advising Obama? Asking the Iranian government for the return of its RQ 170 Spy drone.
CFN December 2011 — As I watch innocent protesters being beaten as they ask for remnants of the old Mubarak regime to hand over power to the citizens, I can only think of how the United States would handle such adversity from it's citizens.
It saddens me to think that people in this world have the power to empower but not the power to protect themselves from those that they have empowered.
Whether it be in the United States, Palestine, Yemen or Egypt, the people's control of its government comes at a price. Usually their lives.
How could we have gotten so far down the wrong side of the road to where we must violently crush those that wish to institute change to a government.
May God help those Egyptians to crush their oppressors and send them to the deepest pits of hell possible. May God help the Egyptians in their revolution to systematically irradicate those and their families as well as those that will attempt to follow in their footsteps.
May justice be with the Egyptians.

A Course in Capitalism by James Yates Jr.
CFN - CALIFORNIA - A course in capitalism and what it is not. Many of us believe that capitalism is to be comprise of many of the conveniences of day to day life.
Antidiscrimination, antiracism as well as a place of no crime, all of these social conveniences that we associate with American life has no place in capitalism.
And education. Who said that capitalism needed for its growth an element of education when most people of wealth has no formal education for capitalism itself takes over the need to posess education for oneself.
For those of us who believe that capitalism is anything but the ruthless carnage that determine those who survive and those that do not; are grossly mistaken.
Capitalism transcends technology, social requirements and life itself. For when we put a value on anything within our capitalistic society, we put capitalism first. And rightfully so, for capitalism rules.
Talking about taking politics seriously, I clearly recall the friends that I felt more comfortable distancing myself from as a result of this heated political contest.
Afriend I thought, until the 2008 Presidential Election when President Barack Hussein Obama won the Presidency over challenger Arizona Senator John McCain, referred to those opposing Obama as everything other than a child of God.
Democrats and Republicans alike take their politics so seriously. Even more seriousely than the candidates themselves.
Because the candidates know that its all about making deals while the public takes the game to heart.
So for those
While the candidates are having fun and such at luncheons and other political fundraising events, their supporters are fighting some kind of fierce for the issues the candidates have or have not raised.
Memphis Police/Code Enforcement Officers
updated May 27, 2012
CFN-Memphis TN May 2012
Our good friends in Memphis asked us to bring light to the fact that many Memphis Police Officers are being used as code enforcement officers in neighborhoods across the Memphis area.
Officers are consistently used for duties such as: tickets for cars parked on grass and debris in the yard.
While these violations may require a court appearance and a small fine of $10, the time one Memphian waited in court to pay a $136.50 fine was about 3 and 1/2 hours.
DY, a Memphian we spoke to choose to remain anonymous for fear of local police paying another visit to his south memphis home, knocking on his door to write him a $136.50 ticket for a simple code violation.
The ticket resulted in a visit to the local OrangeMound makeshift court room.
The Judge who was sitting for Judge Potter clearly was given time to handle the bros and sistas in the hood on these petty violations to get his much needed "time in the hood", "cause that's the way grandpa did it and he knew his negras", I can hear the young white boy judge say to family and friends about his experiences in the Mound dealing and handling negroes.
"What a joke, these devils with their house negras to boot, had me to waste 3 1/2 hours to pay a $10 ticket in a makeshift courtroom in the hood!
Message to the OrangeMound leadership: "get these Devilish renegades out of your community harrassing your citizens."
If Police are going to write a ticket then write it. Don't waste my damned time also.
I guess the real problem with Memphis is how they farm raise these young white boys to handle its negras....just the way grandpa did it.**

MF Global...What Happened to $1.3 Billion No Answers by James Yates Jr.
CFN - December 2011 — Reported to be the 8th largest bankruptcy in the United States, MF Global's CEO John Corzine, a former U.S. Senator and Govenor, had no answers as he testified before a congressional hearing on 1.2 billion in taxpayer dollars disappearance.
The United States at its highest levels seems to uphold the institution of marriage.
Former Presidential candidate Herman Cain is witness to this fact.
While families in America are having the hardest time since the Great Depression, they seem to be face with the most difficult test of them all. How to maintain.
While we seem to be upholding the values of the institution called marriage, we simultaneously fund with our tax dollars those policies and laws that allow the LGBT (Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Trangender) citizens to join the ranks of holy matrimony.
Of course this not only creates problems for the heterosexual marriage, but those children growing up in those families as well.
The very document that lifts up marriage, seems to now be thrown out of the window to make room for the perversions that lurk on the sidelines of marriage as we know it today.

One thing is for sure about what's happening in Egypt. The Egyptian people clearly want Mubarak gone and does not want the same American influence that has kept their dictator in power for the past 3 decades.

Dividing the Black Church What does this mean to Black America?
by CFN Editor
With record raising fundraising dollars now being atrributed to President Obama and his Gay friends network in Hollywood, Black America has only seen a glimpse of the types of dollars that can be raised by the LBGT (Lesbians Bisexuals Gay and Transgender) community.
Since Obama's announcement that he is for Gay marriage, let the real fireworks began and open the flood gates.
This country is about to see the greatest influx of Gay related everything to hit the American market like never before. And just as open as ever.
Life in America has began to change by beginning to make on of the biggest adjustments in Black religion in the past 50 years. The change most significant since then would be the changes made as a result of the civil rights legislation passed in 1954.
The Black Church will now began a scramble to keep its members while seeing a greater majority of Americans supporting homosexual activity as apart of their daily lives. Resulting in even more Blacks joing openly Gay and Lesbian tolerated religious followings.
"This could be a vast change from what we are use to in the Black Church", says CFN Editor James Yates Jr.
The Black Church has not undergone the type of change that is before it now. Other religious teachings has, but the Black Church has really been able to keep its following all corralled together.
The homosexual issues before the country today is looking to change that for good.*

The Traditional Black Church Has Died Acceptance of the LGBT community will prove to be most difficult
for the Traditional Black Church
by James Yates
CFN Editor
CFN May 16, 2012 – With President Obama's announcement supporting the right of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender (LGBT) individuals getting married, we saw with our very own eyes the spiritual death of the traditional Black Church as we knew it.
Politics and Religion does not make good bedfellows. The result are children with the first name hypocrite. Hypocrite John, Hypocrite Susan, Hypocrite Bobby.....you get the picture.
The Black Church must go with the flow on this gay marriage issue or they must be left behind as the country rescends its feelings on the LBGT community having the right to get married.
Imagine this: The Preacher is Gay, two deacons are as well. Most of the Missionaries are Lesbian and the Sunday School teacher is bisexual. Do you call this a traditional Black Church? Get real. With Obama's announcement that church will began to cease to exist as we knew it since Africans were brought to the shores of North America.
How the Black Church deals with this in order to make it go away will be interesting. And how they support a President that has publically defied the word of God will be even more interesting.*
part 2
The Traditional Black Church Has Died The Strategy in Breaking Down Iron Clad Religious Beliefs
Question: Whats more powerful than a locomotive? Faster than a speeding bullet? Able to split the Black Church right down the middle?
Answer: It's the President. No.... It Congress! No.... Try homosexuality.
CFN May 17, 2012
Its almost as if the country has moved on without those that want to horde the wealth, those that have not accepted homosexuality as the norm as well as those institutions that have held on to the very old standards of social behavior. They all will slowly vanish because of their beliefs.
With the administration knowing that in order to break down the structure of the Black Church one must cast down its middle an event that has the potential of splitting it with one strike. Homosexuality. Without a doubt.
But there must be a visual perception of this death in order for the religious "tightgrip" surrounding the acts of homosexuals to be accepted into mainstream society. President Obama is leading that charge. His statements on national television was that visual perception needed for those
Obama is smart enought to know that the LGBT community is powerful enough to actually infiltrate the Black Church. But they too must have a door opener. This is where President Obams enters the campaign and officially delivers the LGBT community to Black Preachers all across the nation. they now have a pass from the Blackest President we have ever had. Who does not know or cannot relate to this.
This is going to become so interesting.....WOW! A political, religious knock down drag out during one of the most closely watched Presidential elections of all time.
More to come...

A Letter To My Pastor…
Pastor, with the love I have for
God Almighty, His only Son, Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit that lives in me,
and the Holy Ghost that possess my spirit and leadeth me to do great things in
the eyes of the Lord. With the love that I have for you and the Church, I ask
the following questions in the hopes of gaining a better understanding of how
to be that more perfect creature in the eyes of the Lord.
I did not want my questions and
your answers NOT to be shared with my family, friends and other loves ones,
therefore I share my questions and my thoughts and hope you will share yours as
well.
You asked members of our church
to, “give their mortgage/rent monies to the church.”
I have never been homeless or
without a job, have never wanted to be homeless, but am now wondering if your
request for me to give all of my monies to the Church will leave me homeless?
For me, I guess it boils down to
should I do what you have asked me to do in the eyes of the Lord?
Should I reject what you requested
and lean to my own understanding knowing that such a drastic move would probably
leave me homeless?
Then there’s my faith and spiritual
factor. I truly believe that God provides all of my needs. Yet, with your
request I am not sure when my needs would be taken care of.
What should I do?
Should I follow my Pastor’s request
to give my mortgage payment to the church? How would I deal with being a
homeless family raising 2 children?
Thank you Pastor, and may God
continue to Bless.
